The Brady Bunch House has been one of the most exciting homes that I have visited so far. After HGTV did the makeover of the house I was hoping that they might open it up for fans to see. It just happens to be five minutes away from my favorite place to eat. I definitely recommend getting food from Aroma Coffee and Tea while you’re in the area.

The best exchange between Lesly and Jackie-O comes when the sister says, "Pretend he's not my brother,'' and Lesly answers quickly, "I do.'' The arc of the movie is not hard to predict. When the film was over I was not particularly pleased that I had seen it; it was mostly behavior and contrivance. Father of the Bride House

Jackie-O convinces Marty that she will let him leave if he agrees to play the game one final time. Jackie-O fires the gun at Marty, now loaded with real bullets, killing him. Lesly runs from the house and a flashback is shown of Jackie-O in her costume as a teen, being filmed by Marty as she asks him to “stop it”, then gives him a coy smile. The next morning, Mrs. Pascal tries to make Lesly leave the house by herself. Mrs. Pascal threatens to expose her liaison with Anthony if she doesn’t leave.

Marty’s mother is disturbed that he has brought Lesly and concerned how it will affect Jackie-O. Jackie-O has recently been released from psychiatric hospital after an unsuccessful suicide attempt. Jackie-O is ecstatic to see her brother until she learns that he is engaged. Jackie-O becomes obsessive about Marty and politely encourages Lesly to leave. Mrs. Pascal tries to explain away Jackie-O’s behavior by telling Lesly that Jackie-O and Marty have been nearly inseparable since they were born and even shares that Jackie-O was even holding Marty’s infant penis as they were born.

Jackie-O pulls the gun and asks Marty to play their game one last time. Anthony rushes out of the room to retrieve Jackie-O’s medication, realizing that she has having a psychotic break. It's clear fairly soon that Marty and Lesly will never be married and may indeed not last the night. After Anthony's visit to Lesly's room, Jackie-O goes up for a chat ("Where's the wildest place you've ever made love?''). Marty tells the family he met Lesly behind the counter at a Donut King store ("She smells like powdered sugar''). As played well by Tori Spelling, she reads the situation quickly and responds appropriately, by trying to get the hell out of the house.

The siblings enjoy the game as it reminds them of their first sexual encounter together when they were only fourteen. Jackie-O and Marty play the game, and after she “shoots” Marty, Jackie-O runs over to cradle her brother in her arms. Jackie-O begins to kiss Marty and the two siblings begin to have sex. As the story opens, Jackie-O (Parker Posey) is disturbed to learn from Anthony (Freddie Prinze Jr.) that Marty (Josh Hamilton) is bringing a friend home for the holiday. She is even more alarmed when Marty introduces Lesly (Tori Spelling) and announces that they are engaged.

H, h definition in the Cambridge English Dictionary

It was accordingly put to a new use to indicate the open long e which had arisen through alteration of the primitive Greek long a. In a few inscriptions from Thera, Naxos, and several other localities the letter was used with syllabic value; that is, it included he, thus showing its old consonantal and its new vocalic value at the same time. Eventually, as a result of the spread of the Ionic alphabet, its use for the long vowel e or η became general throughout Greece, while its consonantal value as the aspirate h passed from the western Greek alphabets into the Etruscan alphabets and then into the Latin and other alphabets of ancient Italy. In the Romance languages the sound has largely disappeared, but the letter is still extensively used, partly with only etymological value, (e.g., French homme), partly with fancied etymological value (e.g., French haut from Latin altus, with h through the influence of hoh, the Old High German word of the same meaning), partly with special orthographical functions.

For example, in the solar wind they interact with the Earth's magnetosphere giving rise to Birkeland currents and the aurora. Phoenician and proto-Semitic languages are the earliest recorded alphabets that use symbols to represent sounds rather than to represent things like Egyptian hieroglyphics. (Greek is considered the first true alphabet because it uses symbols to represent both consonant and vowel sounds). In proto-Semitic, the letter H was also the word for thread or fence, and if you look at the letter H, it is still clear that it looks like a portion of a fence. The letter is silent in a syllable rime, as in ah, ohm, dahlia, cheetah, pooh-poohed, as well as in certain other words (mostly of French origin) such as hour, honest, herb (in American but not British English) and vehicle (in certain varieties of English). Initial /h/ is often not pronounced in the weak form of some function words including had, has, have, he, her, him, his, and in some varieties of English (including most regional dialects of England and Wales) it is often omitted in all words (see '⟨h⟩'-dropping).

Meanings for H[change change source]

The electrolysis of water is a conceptually simple method of producing hydrogen. The uppercase letter for H is H and the lowercase letter for H is h. The letter’s name is "haitch" (/ˈheɪtʃ/), also known as simply "'aitch" (/ˈeɪtʃ/). Sandra Liebenberg, Distinguished Professor and H F Oppenheimer Chair in Human Rights Law, Stellenbosch UniversityThis article is republished from The Conversation under a Creative Commons license. In pre-modern Maltese, h still produces the sound [h] as recorded by Agius de Soldanis (1750) and Mikel Anton Vassalli (1796).

In the quantum mechanical treatment, the electron in a ground state hydrogen atom has no angular momentum at all—illustrating how the "planetary orbit" differs from electron motion. In the early Greek alphabets a form with three horizontal bars and the simpler form H were both widely distributed. In Etruscan the prevailing form was similar to the early Greek form, and the same or a similar form occurs in very early Latin inscriptions, but the form H came into general use in Latin, either from the Chalcidic Greek alphabet of Cumae or from some other source. The cursive Latin form resembled a stylized version of the modern minuscule h, as did the uncial form.

The thermodynamic basis of this low reactivity is the very strong H–H bond, with a bond dissociation energy of 435.7 kJ/mol.[26] The kinetic basis of the low reactivity is the nonpolar nature of H2 and its weak polarizability. It spontaneously reacts with chlorine and fluorine to form hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride, respectively.[27] The reactivity of H2 is strongly affected by the presence of metal catalysts. Thus, while mixtures of H2 with O2 or air combust readily when heated to at least 500 °C by a spark or flame, they do not react at room temperature in the absence of a catalyst.

Hence hydrogen is often used as a theoretical model for more complex atoms, and the results are applied qualitatively to other atoms. These differ in the magnetic interactions of the protons due to the spinning motions of the protons. In ortho-hydrogen, the spins of both protons are aligned in the same direction—that is, they are parallel. In para-hydrogen, the spins are aligned in opposite directions and are therefore antiparallel. The relationship of spin alignments determines the magnetic properties of the atoms. Normally, transformations of one type into the other (i.e., conversions between ortho and para molecules) do not occur and ortho-hydrogen and para-hydrogen can be regarded as two distinct modifications of hydrogen.

Words That Start With H

Hydrogen is a chemical element; it has symbol H and atomic number 1. It is the lightest element and, at standard conditions, is a gas of diatomic molecules with the formula H2, sometimes called dihydrogen,[11] but more commonly called hydrogen gas, molecular hydrogen or simply hydrogen. It is colorless, odorless, tasteless,[12] non-toxic, and highly combustible. Constituting approximately 75% of all normal matter, hydrogen is the most abundant chemical substance in the universe.[13][note 1] Stars, including the Sun, primarily consist of hydrogen in a plasma state, while on Earth, hydrogen is found in water, organic compounds, and other molecular forms. The most common isotope of hydrogen (symbol 1H) consists of one proton, one electron, and no neutrons. Paracelsus, physician and alchemist, in the 16th century unknowingly experimented with hydrogen when he found that a flammable gas was evolved when a metal was dissolved in acid.

This is because ⟨j⟩ and ⟨v⟩ used to be considered variants of ⟨i⟩ and ⟨u⟩ respectively. ⟨h⟩ also appears in the digraph ⟨ch⟩, which represents /tʃ/ in Spanish and northern Portugal, and /ʃ/ in varieties that have merged both sounds (the latter originally represented by ⟨x⟩ instead), such as most of the Portuguese language and some Spanish dialects, prominently Chilean Spanish. The Table lists the important properties of molecular hydrogen, H2.

See the Silesian language article on Wikipedia for more, and h for development of the glyph itself. In Irish, ⟨h⟩ is not considered an independent letter, except for a very few non-native words, however ⟨h⟩ placed after a consonant is known as a "séimhiú" and indicates lenition of that consonant; ⟨h⟩ began to replace the original form of a séimhiú, a dot placed above the consonant, after the introduction of typewriters. Its most important uses are in the digraphs 'ch' /k/ and 'gh' /ɡ/, as well as to differentiate the spellings of certain short words that are homophones, for example some present tense forms of the verb avere ('to have') (such as hanno, 'they have', vs. anno, 'year'), and in short interjections (oh, ehi).

Consequently, kinetic energy is distributed faster through hydrogen than through any other gas; it has, for example, the greatest heat conductivity. Elementary hydrogen finds its principal industrial application in the manufacture of ammonia (a compound of hydrogen and nitrogen, NH3) and in the hydrogenation of carbon monoxide and organic compounds. Hydrogen is commonly used in power stations as a coolant in generators due to a number of favorable properties that are a direct result of its light diatomic molecules. These include low density, low viscosity, and the highest specific heat and thermal conductivity of all gases.

The early contemporary variant was first found in the dialect of lsien tal-bliet (“tongues of the cities”, referring to the cities around the Grand Harbour according to Vassalli) which eventually superceded the increasingly archaic [h] sound in the neighborhing areas.

The two forms may, however, interconvert under certain conditions. Equilibrium between the two forms can be established in several ways. One of these is by the introduction of catalysts (such as activated charcoal or various paramagnetic substances); another method is to apply an electrical discharge to the gas or to heat it to a high temperature. In Spanish and Portuguese, ⟨h⟩ is a silent letter with no pronunciation, as in hijo [ˈixo] ('son') and húngaro [ˈũɡaɾu] ('Hungarian'). In words where the ⟨h⟩ is derived from a Latin /f/, it is still sometimes pronounced with the value [h] in some regions of Andalusia, Extremadura, Canarias, Cantabria, and the Americas. Some words beginning with [je] or [we], such as hielo, 'ice' and huevo, 'egg', were given an initial ⟨h⟩ to avoid confusion between their initial semivowels and the consonants ⟨j⟩ and ⟨v⟩.

The famous row of houses known as the Painted Ladies appears in the opening credits of Full House. The front doors, which were green/gray at the time, lead on to a narrow hallway and a staircase. Despite the best efforts of the owners to put fans off coming to the property, they still turned up. So in 2016, the Full House house was put on the market, and in a strange twist, “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin bought it, vowing to restore it to its original look. Here's where you can stream all eight seasons of 'Full House,' plus more of the late Bob Saget's TV shows & movies. Television Distribution handles the domestic and international syndication rights to the series. During the summer of 1991, reruns of the early seasons began airing in a daily daytime strip on NBC.[13] Starting in September 1991, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution began distributing Full House for broadcast in off-network syndication and was syndicated on various local stations nationwide until 2003.

When watching the iconic opening credits of the show, one might think the Tanner family lived in one of the Painted Ladies (or Postcard Row) on Steiner Street. In reality, the Tanners lived about a mile north of Alamo Square Park, at 1709 Broderick Street in Lower Pacific Heights, an affluent neighborhood rich in history, architecture, and culture. As mentioned earlier, the owners of the property got tired of fans turning up outside to take photos. To try and put people off the trail, they painted the house purple in an attempt to change its appearance. Much like the owners of The Goonies house tried to hide their house from fans.

Full House is an American television sitcom that aired from September 22, 1987 to May 23, 1995, on ABC. The series was created by Jeff Franklin and executive produced by Franklin, along with Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett. It was videotaped live before a studio audience at the Lorimar Studios in Los Angeles. All seven of the original cast members remained with the show through its entire eight-year run, with five characters added to the main cast along the way.

Jesse and Rebecca ("Becky") eventually fall in love and get married in season four. In season five, Becky gives birth to twin sons, Nicholas ("Nicky") and Alexander ("Alex"). 'Saturday Night Live' star Colin Jost is set to headline this year's event on Saturday.

D.J.'s best friend Kimmy was a recurring character in seasons one through four, who was upgraded to a regular in season five. Rebecca originally appeared for six episodes in season two; producers decided to expand her role and made her a regular the following season. After marrying Jesse, they have twins Nicky and Alex, who make their debut in season five. As babies, the children were played by Daniel and Kevin Renteria, and in season six, the roles of the twins were succeeded by Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit.

The cards themselves feature each of the cast members, their characters (individually and in groups), and even scenes from certain episodes. The series experienced heavy turnover with its writing staff throughout its run. Show creator and executive producer Jeff Franklin was the only writer to remain with the series throughout its entire eight-season run (Franklin also wrote and directed several episodes during the first five seasons). Although the series was set in San Francisco, the sitcom itself was taped at the Warner Bros. Outside of certain excerpts in the opening title sequences, including Alamo Square Park's Painted Ladies, the only episode to have actually been taped in San Francisco was the first episode of season eight, "Comet's Excellent Adventure".

This year, Colin Jost, who co-hosts Saturday Night Live‘s “Weekend Update” segment with Michael Che, is the featured entertainer at the event that attracts A-listers, comedians, journalists, prominent politicians and more. President Joe Biden is also set to be in attendance, as well as First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. If you turned on the television sometime between 1987 and 1995, odds are you’re familiar with the iconic Full House house. The San Franciscan townhome was the center of life for the Tanner family, who became household names and made the sitcom—with its relatability, honesty, and feel-good humor—a sensation.

There were also a few episodes which were filmed on-location elsewhere, most notably Hawaii in the season three premiere "Tanner's Island", and at Walt Disney World for the two-part sixth-season finale "The House Meets the Mouse". An election-year roast of President Biden before journalists, celebrities and politicians at the annual White House correspondents’ dinner Saturday butted up against growing public discord over the Israel-Hamas war, with large protests outside the event. “His sharp insights perfectly meet this remarkable time of divided politics, and a presidential campaign careening toward a rematch,” she added. “His smart brand of comedy and keen observation will turn up the heat on the national news media and across the political spectrum.

The series reboot, Fuller House, arrived on Netflix in 2016, but for fans who enjoy the original, the classic sitcom is available on multiple streaming platforms. In total, there were 192 episodes filmed for the show over the course of its eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. This series focuses on the combined families of D.J., Stephanie, and Kimmy in a gender-reversed version of the Full House plot. This time there is a widowed mother, her sister, and a female friend raising three boys (and a girl) rather than a widowed father, his brother-in-law, and a male friend raising three girls. There was also D.J.'s Family Scrapbook (1992, during season 6 taping), Jesse's Snapshot Album (1993), a flip-over book based on D.J. And Stephanie (with Stephanie's observations on one side and D.J.'s opinions on the other), a Paper Doll book for all three Tanner girls from Golden Books, and much more.

He also considered using the house for fans to tour, however, it was strongly opposed by neighbors. Prior to its appearance on the show, the Full House house was just your typical privately owned family home. Many people assume that the property is one of the ‘Painted Ladies’, however, these are actually located 12 blocks away.

One organizer complained that the White House Correspondents’ Association — which represents the hundreds of journalists who cover the president — largely has been silent since the first weeks of the war about the killings of Palestinian journalists. Chants accused U.S. journalists of undercovering the war and misrepresenting it. “Western media we see you, and all the horrors that you hide,” crowds chanted at one point. With hundreds of protesters rallying against the war in Gaza outside the event and concerns over the conflict and humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the perils for journalists covering the conflict, the war hung over this year’s event. But speakers inside made only passing mention of the conflict despite some having to run a gauntlet of demonstrators. Biden’s speech, which lasted around 10 minutes, made no mention of the ongoing war or the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The show's theme song, "Everywhere You Look", was performed by Jesse Frederick, who co-wrote the song with writing partner Bennett Salvay and series creator Jeff Franklin. Various instrumental versions of the theme song were used in the closing credits; the version used during seasons three through eight was also used in the opening credits in some early syndication runs, although the song was almost always truncated to the chorus for broadcast. Hallmark Channel reruns have used four different cuts of the theme song, including the full version. Full House is an American television sitcom created by Jeff Franklin for ABC.

The earlier episodes are harder to find online, but  newer episodes are streaming on Prime Video and Hulu. Saget, who died Sunday, was best known as Danny Tanner on Full House, a role that landed him in the proverbial hall of fame of TV dads.

Kelly O’Donnell, president of the correspondents’ association, opened the event by reminding the audience of the important work that journalists do but noting that the dinner is happening at “a complex moment for our nation,” and in a decisive election year. The show featured the Tanner family, who lived in a three-story house in San Fransico. After the death of his wife Pam, Danny Tanner (played by Bob Sagat) recruits his brother-in-law Jesse, and best friend Joey, to help raise his three daughters. It aired from September 22, 1987 to May 23, 1995, broadcasting eight seasons and 192 episodes. Full House was a feel-good sitcom created by Jeff Franklin, along with Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. With three daughters in need of direction and guidance, he enlists the help of his childhood best friend Joey (played by Dave Coulier), his brother-in-law Jesse (played by John Stamos), and some other characters in between. It was Full House that shot Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen into stardom, thanks to the twins’ joint role as the youngest sister, Michelle Tanner.

“All the period details of the house were kept, but they also did a lot to repair some of the trim. They tried to keep as much as they could, even when they recreated the fireplaces and the mantles.” Swann tells AD. The city also required the team to replace every window of the house seen from the street to match the originals.

According to an article for MeTV, Bob Saget called the Full House home architecturally impossible. “While the real home may seem like it could possibly fit the Tanner family from an outside perspective, Saget said the house would have to have a rather unique shape if it were to actually represent what fans saw on the show,” MeTV states. According to Landis Construction, row houses are usually no wider than 12 to 25 feet, making 1709 Broderick Street much too long and narrow to house the spaciously wide living room seen in the show. In a Full House home tour for Entertainment Tonight, Saget joked that the house would have to be about 12,000-square-feet to fit the family. The real Full House house is just over 3,700-square-feet with three stories, four bedrooms, and four bathrooms, according to Zillow. Studios in Los Angeles, the exterior shots of the Full House house were shot in San Francisco, California.

In addition, all episodes are the original broadcasts, thus omitting Dave Coulier's syndicated repeats closing line, and thus omitting the Warner Bros. While the only elements intact are the theme song as well as the show's logo, when the latter appears, it's announced in the country's tongue. However, some countries have their own titles for the show; the only country to not have its own title for the show or have it announced in the country's tongue is Germany. John Stamos's character was originally named Jesse Cochran; Stamos reportedly wanted his character to better reflect his Greek heritage, so producers decided to change the character's surname to Katsopolis (beginning with season two). In season two, Danny is reassigned from his duties as a sports anchor by his television station to become co-host of the morning show, Wake Up, San Francisco, and is teamed up with Nebraska native Rebecca Donaldson.

In season four, Jesse marries Becky (Lori Loughlin), and they move into the attic. Then, in season five, Becky and Jesse have twin boys named Nicky and Alex (Daniel and Kevin Renteria/Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit). In 1991, around season four, Laffs created a set of trading cards based on the series.

The family room is now at the back of the house, where the old kitchen once stood. The brand new kitchen now stands where the family room once stood in the middle of the house. A new door has been put into the wall left of the fireplace, leading to the kitchen, which has now been moved to where the family room once was. As you can see the house has been painted a more neutral color since Jeff purchased it. The doors have also been painted and the trees blocking the view of the house removed. When Jeff Franklin bought the house in 2016 he originally wanted to remodel the interiors to match the sets on “Full House”.

The first season of the family sitcom Full House originally aired on ABC from September 22, 1987 to May 6, 1988. The show was originally going to be called House of Comics because it was planned to be about three comics living together. Jeff Franklin decided to shift the theme because family sitcoms were so popular at the time. Reruns of the series aired on NBC Daytime (1991–1993)[3][4], in syndication (1991–2003), ABC Family (2003–2013), Superstation WGN Chicago (1998–2002), and Teen Nick (2009–2010). As of April 2017, they can be seen on Superstation TBS Atlanta (1998–2002, 2013–present)[5][6][7], and on Nick at Nite (2003–2009, 2010–present)[8].

In September 2017, Full House, along with the other classic "TGIF" shows, began streaming on Hulu. The producers' first choice to play the character of Danny Tanner was Bob Saget. Saget was not available to appear in the pilot due to his commitment as an on-air contributor to CBS's The Morning Program. Posey only appeared in the show's unaired pilot; which is included on the DVD release of Season 1. Over time, the three men, as well as the girls, bond and become closer to one another. See photos of attendees at the annual White House correspondents’ dinner, as well as from the protests outside.

More than two dozen journalists in Gaza wrote a letter last week calling on their colleagues in Washington to boycott the dinner altogether. Protest organizers said they wanted to bring attention to the high numbers of Palestinian and other Arab journalists killed by Israel’s military since the war began in October. Former Vice President Mike Pence has refused to endorse Trump’s reelection bid. Biden’s speech before nearly 3,000 people was being followed by entertainer Colin Jost from “Saturday Night Live.” Academy Award winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Scarlett Johansson, Jon Hamm and Chris Pines were among other stars. “You could tell there was a mutual appreciation for a historic pop culture landmark. We all admired the house from the sidewalk and got to take pictures,” says Destiny Quinn, a news anchor who visited the Full House house in January of 2022.

Like many action games, if Michelle is hit, a life is lost, and when all lives are lost, the game ends. The series was produced by Jeff Franklin Productions and Miller-Boyett Productions, in association with Lorimar-Telepictures (1987–1988), Lorimar Television (1988–1993), and then by Warner Bros. Television (1993–1995) after Lorimar was folded into Warner Bros.'s existing television production division.

The beloved comedian played a widowed, single father raising three young daughters with help from his rocker brother-in-law and wisecracking best friend. John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Lori Loughlin and Dave Coulier were among the all-star cast. Tiger Electronics also made a handheld game based on the show, with the player playing as Michelle. Basically, the player scores every time Michelle high-fives people, and the player must dodge everything she encounters, as everything in the Tanner house comes to life, and all of this must be done within a certain time limit. Once time ends for a particular level, the player advances to the next level.

The last main character added was Steve Hale, who was D.J.'s boyfriend in seasons six and seven. Full House chronicles a widowed father's struggles of raising his three young daughters and the lives that they touch. The patriarch of the family, Danny (Bob Saget), invites his brother-in-law, Jesse (John Stamos), and his best friend, Joey (Dave Coulier), to help raise his children (Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, and Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen), after his wife was killed in an automobile accident.

“Since the Israel-Gaza war began, journalists have been paying the highest price— their lives—to defend our right to the truth. Each time a journalist dies or is injured, we lose a fragment of that truth,” CPJ Program Director Carlos Martínez de la Serna said in a statement. O’Donnell went on to list the scores of journalists who have been imprisoned across the world, including Americans Evan Gershkovich and Austin Tice. The families of those journalists were in attendance as they have been at previous dinners. She briefly mentioned journalists killed in the war between Israel and Hamas.

CLT to TLH: Charlotte to Tallahassee Flights

flights from charlotte to tallahassee

Delta to me dropped the ball by giving me a connecting flight. By the time we got to Raleigh we would have missed the next flight. Lucky for me the flight never came so now I was stuck waiting for a later flight that came in late also. Our original business class flight was cancelled so we not only downgraded but we were also spread out across the plane not sitting together in separate middle seats. My poor kids were scared and couldn’t see me on the flight and the crew wasn’t sensitive to the situation and what the airlines did to us. Very dissatisfied with United airlines.

Flight was cancelled due to the weather in the east and sout east(florida). Did not get any compesation of any kind. According to them, it was not under their control so I lost all the money paid for the 2 fairs from Raleigh, NC to Orlando, Fl. Check-in was great with an agent helping us. Pre-flight went well once I got the app reloaded on my phone since we don’t fly much anymore.

His announcements were very not reasonable and they did not make sense. The stewardess on the flight that made the announcements she didn’t even know what she was talking about she sounded inebriated. There were no snacks or drinks on our flight there wasn’t even much turbulence. This flight was not enjoyable nor was it what a Delta flight should be and just this past week I flew with Delta 3 times.

It took about half an hour to locate a staff member to open up the locked room where it was being kept. One hour delayed departure resulted in problems with planned ground transportation at my destination. Generally good but we were delayed almost two hours from the original time of purchase.

Made a night flight on a small aircraft pleasant and memorable. Seats in first class on the E175 recline too far back. I was in 2A, and the man in 1A fully reclined almost the entire flight.

They were engaged in March 2021 and married later that year. Stewart, having already owned teams and series spanning short tracks and NASCAR, decided to invest in drag racing. Pruett competed in Top Fuel for Tony Stewart Racing, while Stewart started dabbling in the lower division of Top Alcohol dragsters. But now the one they call "Smoke" is smoking the tires on an 11,000-horsepower NHRA Top Fuel dragster. Sure, racing is racing and Stewart has excelled at every racing discipline America has to offer, a series of crossover moves matched only by the likes of A.J. But drag racing, the one area those legends never dared to wander for more than a one-off event, is another planet.

Robert Sneed, who represents the seven protesters with backing from the Charlotte-based Coalition for Liberty, declined WFAE's request for an interview, saying his team needed more time to review East Frank's lawsuit. The dueling lawsuits are the latest flashpoint in a yearslong conflict involving protests, city council meetings, and the restaurant ultimately adding an 18-plus age limit at drag events in October. A fight between a restaurant in downtown Monroe, North Carolina, and seven protesters who opposed the restaurant's all-age drag events has moved from the sidewalk outside the establishment's front door into a federal courtroom.

Deric Kramer (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the fifth of 21 races during the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season. He points to that trio of fans wearing the Home Depot/Eldora/NHRA merchandise, the ones waiting for him to walk over and autograph their gear. When Stewart works those ropes, he likes to don his darkest pair of sunglasses, allowing him to discreetly scan the crowd while he chats and scribbles signatures. As he describes it, he drops another old-school TV reference.

He finished first in all three quads, posting a 3.686s in the opening quad and then making the quickest run of eliminations in the final round. The season was originally scheduled for 21 races with one unannounced date. The unannounced date was anticipated to be held at I-70 Motorsports Park in Odessa, Missouri and would replace the Heartland Nationals event, held at Heartland Motorsports Park in Shawnee County, Kansas, which closed because of land and tax disputes between circuit ownership and the local government.

“The Bellagio of Dragstrips” will again host its signature event, the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, with competitors in seven classes – Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock Motorcycle, Pro Mod, Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, and Constant Aviation Factory Stock – competing against one another in furious foursomes. The NHRA returns to the track in the fall for the NHRA Carolina Nationals, a key event in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. “The Bellagio of Dragstrips” will again host its signature event, the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, with competitors in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle, Top Alcohol Dragster, and Top Alcohol Funny Car competing against one another in furious foursomes.

His frame is nearly 50 pounds lighter than it was at the height of his NASCAR powers, at least partially responsible for his light-footed gait as he makes his way around the NHRA paddock. But the true power behind his newfound boyish spirit is anchored by the emotion that long eluded him, when he was emotionally unmoored to the point that his tantrums were once as anticipated and feared as were his moves on the racetrack. It’s back to Charlotte for the DeWalt NHRA Carolina Nationals. NHRA makes its return to zMAX Dragway for the second race of the NHRA Camping World Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Race weekend fan protocols will include health screenings for fans, contactless ticketing, socially distanced grandstand seating and cashless souvenir and concession purchases. Fans and staff will also be required to wear approved face coverings at all times, except while actively eating and drinking. Limited grandstand seating will be in groups of up to six people properly socially distant from any other group.

Teams will battle it out as the championship hunt draws nearer. Smith finished as the runner-up, going 6.780 at 199.61, with Krawiec, who was seeking his 50th career win, taking third and Johnson following in fourth. "I love this place. Everybody always asks me my favorite racetrack, and without a doubt, it's this place. This facility is like none other; it's amazing, the fans are great, and luckily, we get to come here twice a year,” Hight said. (April 30, 2023) – John Force Racing swept the nitro classes on Sunday at zMAX Dragway, as Austin Prock and Robert Hight rolled to wins in Top Fuel and Funny Car, respectively, at the Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. But the multi-time champ and his team didn’t disappoint in Charlotte, rolling to the win in every quad as he collected his 63rd career Wally. It’s also his seventh career win at zMAX Dragway, which is the most for anyone in Funny Car. It was on that adjacent 1.5-mile oval that Tony Stewart won a NASCAR Cup Series race and the NASCAR All-Star Race, completed the second half of a pair of Indy 500/Coca-Cola 600 one-day "Double Duty" marathons, and won a pair of pole positions in an IndyCar. The NASCAR Hall of Famer's Stewart-Haas Racing HQ is located one exit up the highway from zMax and he has even fielded wining cars on the four-tenths-mile clay oval dirt track that sits adjacent to the drag strip.
